The New Melting Pot designed in the USA by Suzi Weinberg, is an ideal way to melt your sealing wax, especially if you need to produce a larger quantity of seals - anything from 20 - 80 in one go. Use with a melting spoon to create a perfect seal on your project, unused wax can be re-melted for future use.

The Melting Pot will safely melt Waterstons Sealing Wax, hot glue sticks, candle wax, soap, chocolate, embossing enamel or any meltable craft material.

	Place your sticks of wax into the melting pot, heat at 80 - 100 until the wax melts (we suggest keeping the lid on while this takes place), you can push it around a little with the spoon to help this along. You may need to adjust the temperature when the wax has melted, as it can get too hot.		When the wax has melted, push the wick upto the pouring area, you can then fish this out with the spoon onto some kitchen paper and dispose of it. The wax will naturally go to the back of the pot, as it slops away from the pouring area. Leave the spoon in the wax, as the wax will cool when poured if the spoon is cold.
When your wax has melted, spoon a sufficient amount onto your envelope and seal with your wax stamp. Leave to set for approx 20-30 seconds otherwise wax may stick to the seal. When you have finished, you can clean your pan with a paper kitchen towel, this needs to be done while the pot is still warm. The spoon is also best cleaned while warm. Any wax left in the pan can be reused by leaving in the pan until next time you need to use it ~ OR if you leave the wax to go cold, it will just lift out of the pan in one piece, to be melted again at a later date.
